Time to prepare the Audio plug and Audio cable. Prepare the Audio plug by melting solder onto each of the contacts.
Solder the wires to the audio plug according to the following pictures and the diagram above, solder the ground wire last. Squeeze the cable grip securely.
Then assemble the audio plug ready for soldering into the 8 pin din plug.
If you can, find something to hold the 8 pin din plug for you, if you haven't' got a set of helping hands, then improvise, don't use anything that doesn't like getting hot, as the pins will get hot during soldering. With the socket secured, melt some solder into each of the pins, ready to solder the wires into place.
BEFORE you do any soldering of wires, make sure you slide the plastic part of the plug down over both the main and audio cables, ready for re-assembly later on. If your cables are too big to go through the plug, then shorten it like this, this makes the hole a bit wider.
