Caps4stix - simple and effective
Wow, browsing eBay one afternoon I just happened to see an cheap (and I mean VERY cheap) item called Caps4stix, designed for XBOX 360 joypads, these simple little rubber covers just slide over the top of the analog sticks on the joypad and offer much improved grip.
There's not much to say really - they just work! A very nice rubber with 8 raised bumps should stop your thumb slipping. You may not like the look of them, but don't forget - you won't be gazing at the controller when you're playing!
Now available in Grey to match the detailing on the white controller, looks a thousand times better than putting black ones on a white pad!
You may have seen the modification I performed on a Dual Shock 3 as I couldn't get on with the domed thumbsticks, I still like this mod - BUT, although not specifically designed for Sony pads they are a great fit. The dip in the rubber cap simply pops out and follows the dome shape on the Sony pad.
They also fit the original PSOne Dual Shocks, the PS2 Dual Shock 2, the PS3 Sixaxis and the XBOX Controller S! I also tried them on a Wii Nunchuk, they are slightly too big though - shame UPDATE - they now make a Wii Nunchuk version, and they are also BRILLIANT.
