Alternative SNES/SFC Region Mod
I was looking through some old bookmarks and realised I had saved details of an alternative region mod for the SNES. Details of silver_surfers mod can be found in this original post.
It looks like the images are long gone, but I did find one saved on my laptop..
Here's a brief explanation of the mod (again, this is silver_surfers mod!) - remove the lockout chip (U8) completely, then solder a wire from where leg 10 was connected to leg 4 of chip U10. Sounds pretty easy! Depending on what equipment you have you may have to search the web for how to desolder the lockout chip - possible methods include desoldering braid/wick or even flooding the legs with extra solder and lifting the chip up.
